Dreamworld’s upcoming attraction, King Claw, has moved into its testing phase, with both daytime and nighttime trials observed over the past week.

On Saturday evening, reports surfaced that the ride had begun nighttime test cycles! The following morning, TikTok user @gc.parks shared footage showing the ride swinging side to side without gondola rotation. These videos quickly circulated across industry forums and social media groups.

Clearer footage soon followed, posted by The Adventures of Theme Park Girl posting video of the gondola rotating while the claw reached its full 42-metre height. She also noted the addition of a wide range of lighting effects, including illuminated eyes on the centrepiece medallion (please if anyone knows the official name of the ride icon let us know!)

She further explained that as part of commissioning, engineers were running through E-stop procedures and other safety checks, with work continuing well into the early hours of the morning.

Dreamworld later shared its own official photo of the attraction undergoing testing after hours, confirming visible progress on the ride.

In addition, queue line materials have recently been spotted staged near the site, suggesting preparation is well underway for the guest experience. Photos posted by @au_themeparkfan also highlight that most of the major construction is complete, with focus now shifting to the testing and commissioning phase.

With these developments, King Claw appears to be entering the final stretch before opening, though the park has yet to confirm an official debut date, however we believe that the park is aiming to have the ride open for the end of the upcoming September school holidays.
